Effects of Moxibustion at the Meridian Point Kwan Won Soo ( BL26 ) on the Blood Pressure and the Renal Function in Two-Kidney One Clip Goldblatt Hypertensive Rats

Abstract
|
|
|
The aim of this experiment was to elucidate the effects of maxibustion in the meridian point Kwanwonsu (EL26) on the blood pressure and renal function in two-kidney one clip Goldblatt hypertensive rats.
The results obtained were as follows:
1. Blood pressure was decreased significantly after moxibustion in two-kidney one clip Goldblatt hypertensive rats.
2, Plasma renin activity was decreased significantly after moxibustion in two-kidney one clip Goldblatt hypertensive rats.
3. Water balance was decreased significantly after moxibustion in normal and two-kidney one clip Goldblatt hypertensive rats.
4. Urine volume was decreased significantly after moxibustion in normal and two-kidney one clip Goldblatt hypertensive rats.
5. Urinary excretion of electrolytes were decreased significantly after moxibustion in normal and two-kidney one clip Goldblatt hypertensive rats.
6. Free water clearance was increased significantly after moxibustion in normal and two-kidney one clip Goldblattt hypertensive rats.
7. Urinary exeretion fo creatinine was decreased significantly after moxibustion in normal and two-kidney one clip Goldblatt hypertensive rats.
